14 Days K2 Base Camp Trek – Ultimate Adventure to the Foot of the World’s Second Highest Mountain
Trek Overview
The K2 Base Camp Trek is widely regarded as one of the most spectacular and rewarding trekking experiences on Earth. Located in the heart of the Karakoram Range in District Shigar, Gilgit-Baltistan, K2 rises to an elevation of 8,611 meters (28,251 feet), making it the second-highest mountain in the world after Mount Everest.
Unlike Everest Base Camp, the K2 Base Camp trek takes adventurers deep into one of the most remote wilderness regions on the planet. The route passes through glaciers, high-altitude camps, dramatic mountain valleys, and some of the most iconic peaks in the Karakoram, including Broad Peak, Gasherbrum I & II, Mitre Peak, Marble Peak, Chogolisa, and Masherbrum.
The trek reaches K2 Base Camp at approximately 5,150 meters (16,900 feet) above sea level and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding giants of the Karakoram. Due to the altitude, terrain, and physical demands, this expedition is recommended for experienced trekkers with good fitness levels and prior high-altitude trekking experience.
